Quote Unquote

I’m a frustrated writer. I have this thing for blank sheets of paper and a pen… (or a newly created Microsoft Word document and a keyboard, if you’re a techie) I just have to write something. I believe that clean sheets of paper were meant to be written on, or printed on, or typed on… anything! Just put something on that goddamn piece of paper! (you get the point, don’t you?)

Then, after you get past the point of imploring yourself to write something, next is getting yourself to write something interesting. It doesn’t have to mean anything. It doesn’t have to be substantial. It just has to be not boring…

…have you ever come across a really cool quote, or song, or anything of the sort that just made you go “Holy crap, I wish I’d had thought of that!” or “Damn, I wish I had written that!” Me, I’ve gone through that feeling lots of times, which is why one of my new goals in life is to write at least one thing that would make people go  “Holy crap, I wish I’d had thought of that!” or “Damn, I wish I had written that!” Or, if not that, an equally nice alternative would be to at least look back at my life and see something I wrote that would make me go “Yeah, I’m glad I was the one that wrote that.”

Yeah…
