…just ’cause you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there…

October 18, 2007

Classic Radiohead; and wow, I love the video! It's freaky and cute at the same time.

In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape
Broken branches trip me as I speak
Just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean it's there
Just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean it's there

There's always a siren
Singing you to shipwreck
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)

Steer away from these rocks
We'd be a walking disaster
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)

Just cause you feel it doesn't mean it's there
(There's someone on your shoulder)
(There's someone on your shoulder)

Just cause you feel it doesn't mean it's there
(There's someone on your shoulder)
(There's someone on your shoulder)

There there!

Why so green and lonely?
And lonely
And lonely

Heaven sent you to me
To me
To me

We are accidents
Waiting, waiting to happen

We are accidents
Waiting, waiting to happen

…we are accidents waiting to happen…

satan scores

I was just browsing through the threads and replies on this metal music message board that I'm a member of, and I saw this thing that really made me LOL.

Jesus saves, but Satan gets the rebound and he SCOOOORES!

Hahahahaha!

woodcock sucks

Yeah, so we saw Mr. Woodcock the other night, and when you have a comedy movie that stars Billy Bob Thornton, Susan Sarandon and Seann William Scott, but the funniest thing in it is Amy Poehler… then you have a bit of a problem.

It's isn't really that bad… but it seriously isn't any good, imho. It has a few nice laughs here and there, and BBT is really getting this "alpha-male asshole antagonist in a comedy" role down to a tee (see: School for Scoundrels, Bad Santa, Intolerable Cruelty). He plays a good asshole, period. Susan Sarandon plays the mom role well enough, as she always does. And Stifler is… well… still Stifler, but toned down since he's dominated and haunted throughout almost the entire film by Woodcock.

I really loved Amy Poehler in this film though, more than anyone else.

In less-depressing film news:

Cine Europa! Yay! I have half a mind to splurge on this during the weekend.

they just don’t make kornets like they used to

October 17, 2007

Naalala niyo pa yung chichirya na Kornets? You know, the cone-shaped thingamajigs? Well, hindi na siya kasing-sikat ngayon as before, imho; but it's still around. I bought a pack just yesterday and I realized that they don't make them like they used to anymore.

I remember the days when I was a kid and I would ENJOY a bag of Kornets by taking five of them, put one on each finger, and then munch on them one-by-one. Sometimes, before I eat them all up, I'd terrorize my younger sibs by pretending to be a monster with pointy fingers. Hehe.

Now, the cones are just so deformed that you wouldn't even be able to fit them on a baby's finger anymore. Sad. Oh well.
