Here is our seven-year old, camera-shy "askal" named Golda. (Papa just has this thing for naming our dogs according to their color. Some years back, we had a black dog named Blanca… so, well… there ya go.)

I chanced upon her taking a nap, so I immediately took out my cam. As soon I had it half-pressed and it started making some sounds though, Golda started to wake up. When she saw the camera pointed at her, she quickly raised her head and gave me that stoic look that you now see here.

I have no idea how she knows it's a cam. It's like instinct. Kahit nung P&S palang ang gamit ko, she'd always hide when I took out the cam.

A forum-mate on DPP has described the photo as "eerie".

Taken at 1am, 22DEC2007.

Was walking along our street just at the tailend of the godawful commute home when I suddenly had the urge to shoot. There was nobody around and no cars passing by. The street was quiet and peaceful. I'm happy at how this photo came out.

the friday before christmas

It's the Friday before Christmas. Malls will be open until 12mn. A lot of people will be going home to the province. A lot of people will be doing last minute shopping. A lot of people will be having their Christmas parties. In short, A LOT of people will be out. I can just imagine that the traffic situation is going to be horrible.

To put things into perspective… Last night, me and Mau got to megamall at 11:30pm. She got an fx with relative ease at St Francis Square. I on the other hand, wasn't able to get a cab until 12:30am and only after I walked all the way to El Pueblo. This was during a Thursday night when the malls were open until only 10pm. So… friday night before Christmas… malls open until 12mn… what time do you think I'll be able to get home? 3am if I'm lucky? Hahaha!

In other xmas related news… BPI sucks. Ang hirap mag-withdraw ng pera!
