February 3, 2008

A folk-rock song about a zombified worker who wants to eat the brains of his non-zombified colleague. Whowuddathunk it would be this good and catchy!

And its not just "re: your brains" … if you go here, there are tons of cool JC songs to listen to. w00t! w00t! "Code Monkey" rocks!

And here is the video of Jonathan Coulton in action singing "re: your brains"

You can do your typical google search for the lyrics ^_^

photoworld and cosplay

photobucket updated with the 03FEB2008 - photoworld and cosplay album.

So, finally I came through with my plan of getting much needed accessories @ photoworld. I got the Velbon Sherpa 600R tripod as planned, as well as the lenspen (and blower). I didn’t get the Kata DR-467 Digital Rucksack though since it was out of stock. I was considering buying the Kata Sensitivity V instead…

…but opted against it because (just like the DR-467) it’s really pricey even though it looks hella badass. What I setted for instead was the Tamrac Velocity 6x…

…which is much smaller, more compact, and most important of all: It’s more than 3 times cheaper! ^_^ Hehehe. Functionality and practicality-wise, this one is better for me right now than the larger Kata backpacks I was considering (even though it looks less badass) =p

Anyway… that’s what I bought there. What I didn’t expect - or simply forgot, since an officemate of mine had already told me this earlier - was that there was a cosplay thingy going on @ glorietta that same day. Good move by the organizers to hold the photoworld and cosplay events on the same day.

Coincidentally, Cami was also there with some friends and they decided to venture to the activity center. After realizing that it’s pretty odd for me not to be at that event, she texted me to tell me what was going on and I replied to tell her that I was actually there; so, we met up for a bit while I was waiting for Mau. I got around a bit and was able to take a number of photos of the cosplayers around the area:

After venturing around the photoworld stalls and buying what needed to be bought, I met up with Mau and then we fiddled around with my newly-bought camera bag and how I had to arrange it to maximize the space. Apparently this is how it was designed to be used:

Brilliant. So now, I’m a happy camper… … …at least until the next time I have an itch to scratch ^_^
